In the tanker sector, the company now has four VLCCs, two Aframax, six prod- uct and two chemical tankers under full technical management, 45 container vessels, four car and some 20 bulk carri- ers and multi-purpose cargo ships. On behalf of the Shinyo Group, Univan has also taken on the newbuilding supervi- sion for three Panamax vessels at the

Oshima Shipyard in Japan.

V. Ships has appointed Richard Hext as CEO of the Group's Marine Services

Division. The move follows a restructur- ing of the Group into two operating divi- sions — Ship Management and Marine

Services. Based in London, the newly formed Marine Services Division will oversee all activities of the Group other than ship management, including com- mercial management, ship agency, con- sulting, travel, insurance, IT and various other support activities. Roberto Giorgi continues to head up the Ship

Management Division, overseeing all cargo and leisure ship management activities within the group.
