Program is seeking a full-time Marine Electronics Services Supervisor. "Hie selected individual will be based in our Centennial, Colorado office and deploy to the research vessels for up to three months each year.

Responsibilities include calibration, operation and repair of all electronic systems including the suite of sensors and instrumentation aboard all RPSC operated research vessels. Will also hire, train and supervise a team of

Electronic Technicians and Computer/Instrument Specialists.

Requirements include a BS in Ocean Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics,

Computer Engineering, Communications or related field. Ideal candidate will have formal training in analog and digital electronics. Must have 5+ years' experience with a combination of work on academic research ships, shipyards, commercial survey ships and military ships. Previous work supervising technicians, maintaining/integrating ship systems, and planning and implementing major ship modifications is preferred.

Responsibilities include assessing corporate safety programs for compliance with company and regulatory requirements, as well as conducting audits of repair and maintenance, dry-docking, new build construction and other maritime areas.

This position requires a BS degree or equivalent work experience, at least 10 years experience in the maritime industry (with a minimum of 5 years seafaring experience) and strong knowledge of U.S. and international maritime regulations. Applying audit techniques and maritime regulation to shipboard operational procedures, strong English verbal and written communication skills and extensive travel are also required. Shoreside management, shipyard and maritime inspection experience arc a plus.
