Vigor facilities are located in Everett, Bremerton, Tacoma and Port Angeles, WA; Portland, OR; and Alameda and

San Diego, CA.

We are looking for Ship Fitters and Combo Welders at our

Tacoma, WA yard: (Must have the ability to perform the essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.) •Complies with craft and shipyard safety and environmen- tal measures •Performs maintenance, pre-testing, and repair to ensure the structural integrity •Responsible for basic layout of new or old parts to accomplish fitting task according to marine standards •Performs welding, scrapping, burning and grinding as required •Performs, bull rigging as required •Basic knowledge of testing a tank. •Ability to do general cutting, scrapping, burning, and cleanup. •Carbon arc gouging for cleanup and weld preparation •Wire welding - certifiable in 11018 and/or dual shield (will be tested prior to job offer) •Ability to read blueprints and/or sketches, recognizing welding symbols. •Ability to multiply fractions and decimals as required for use in metric and decimal conversions and measure- ments. •Ability to communicate effectively as required for the position

Minimum Work Environment Requirements: •Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to current or daily job duties •Be fit for a respirator •Carry up to 65 pounds continually, and up to 75 pounds occasionally •Constantly climb stairs and ladders, up to 200 rungs/steps per hour •Performs sustained work at various heights, including, but not limited to 100 feet •Access confined spaces •Work from one position, seated for 45 minutes, or stand- ing for 2 hours at a time •Walk to, from and between assigned work areas through out scheduled shift •Bend, twist, kneel, and reach constantly •Endure noise, fumes, dust and inclement weather •Work overtime as needed to meet production demands
