Purchase includes 48 offshore supply vessels (OSVs), of which four are currently under construc-tion. The acquisition expands Harvey Gulf?s vessel classes and allows Harvey Gulf to broaden its service offering to customers in the U.S. GOM. The trans- action is expected to close in Q4 2013.Hyde Names Cammell Laird U.K. Hyde Marine, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Calgon Carbon Corpora-tion, announced today it has established a partnership agreement with Cammell Laird, the largest shipyard in the United Kingdom, for installation of the chemi-cal free Hyde Guardian (HG) Ballast Water Treatment (BWT) System. Bouchard Funds Sim Center Bouchard Transportation Co., Inc. will donate $750,000 to the State university of New York (SUNY) Maritime Col- lege?s Throgs Neck Campus to establish the Bouchard Transportation Company, Inc., Tug and Barge Simulation Center. The center will offer full mission bridge simulators, instruction stations and a de-brieÞ ng area where instructors can meet with students to discuss navigation, sea-manship and bridge resource manage-ment skills required in the operation of tug and barges. The simulation center is slated to open in 2014.Winners of Ferry Design Competition The results of the World Ferry Safety As- sociation (WFSA) international student design competition for a Safe Afford- able Ferry were announced. The goal of the design competition is to elicit new approaches for ferry design in the de-veloping world as well as to encourage designers to enter this arena for which there is a need and an emerging market. The WFSA top prize of $5,000 is to be awarded to the student team from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Austal USA Earns AEU Safety Award American Equity Underwriters, Inc. (AEU) has honored Austal USA, a mem-ber of the American Longshore Mutual Association (ALMA), with the presen-tation of their 2012 Safety and Health Award for a large shipyard. Eni Targets Growth in North American MarketEni USA R&M subsidiary of Eni S.p.A. (seventh largest integrated multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Ita-ly present in 90 countries) plans to go be-yond its historical business area of Que-bec, Ontario, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York boroughs where it has sold its lubricants since 1987. In the last two years, Eni USA R&M changed its business model by selling its prod-ucts mostly through distributors instead of direct selling to its customers.
