Technology, Director

Job Location: USA, Seattle

The Technology Director - Liner Operations is re- sponsible for the operational management and ad- ministrative direction of information technology (IT) operations for the Liner Operations business unit.

Oversees the support and maintenance of existing systems and applications as well as the development of new technical solutions. Identifi es hardware and software for purchase and directs implementation.

Reviews project requests and assigns appropriate resources. Leads strategic planning and staffi ng responsibilities. Accountable for formulating and ad- ministering the department’s annual operating budget as well as performing forecasting. Provides leader- ship and direction in policy and procedure develop- ment, enhancement and implementation. Develops and maintains partnerships throughout organization in order to attain departmental goals and objects.

Ensures work is being performed in compliance with company standards.

Competencies: - Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively verbally and in writing. - Ability to train and direct the work of others. - Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and devel- op change or alternatives. - Ability to interface business applications with other systems. - Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices and procedures. - Knowledge of computer software and operating sys- tems. - Knowledge of terminal processes including, but not limited to, gate operations, cargo operations, yard operations, and maintenance/repair and equipment tracking/optimization.

Minimum of 8-10 years of related information tech- nology management experience specifi c to imple- menting one or more of the following: terminal op- erating systems, maintenance and repair, equipment management and tracking, and/or CPS/RFID/OCR technologies.

Advanced profi ciency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and

Word.

Advanced profi ciency in software package selection and implementation, change management, project management and gathering business requirements using a structured methodology.
