Shell To Provide Bunkering
Service At Port Of Mobile —Literature Available
Shell Oil Company has an- nounced they will sell bunker fuels at the Port of Mobile, Ala.
Barging arrangements will en- able them also to provide bunk- ers at the neighboring ports of
Pensacola, Fla., Pascagoula and
Gulfport, Miss.
Long-term terminal arrange- ments have been concluded and a blender has been installed to provide a complete line of ma- rine bunker fuels, namely MFO,
TFO and MDF.
Shell's decision to provide serv- ices at Mobile was based on fore- casts of increased port tonnage and augmented by the comple- tion of the Tombigbee Barge Ca- nal in 1984, which will connect the port with the entire Missis- sippi and Ohio River Systems.
Mobile is also strategically rela- tive to Shell's Gulf Coast manu- facturing and distribution facil- ities.
