GE Awarded $88.6-Million Pact

Electronics Systems Division,
Moorestown, N.J., was recently awarded a $88,555,249 cost-plus- fixed-fee contract for engineering support services for the Aegis com- bat system on DDG-2313, a Japa- nese Self-Defense Force ship. The work will be performed in Moores- town (93 percent) and Japan (7 per- cent). The contract (N00024-87-C- 5107) was awarded by the Naval Sea
Systems Command.
MSC Awards Central Gulf $6.4-Million Contract
For Barge Charter
Central Gulf Lines, Inc. of New
Orleans, La., has been awarded a
S6.4-million contract for charter of the Caps Express, a semisubmersi- ble barge chartered by MSC to pre- position Army equipment. The con- tract period is 17 months with two 17-month options. It is funded by the Department of the Army, and the Armv will have operational con- trol.
