Sembawang Wins

Conversion Contract

Sembawang Maritime Ltd. won a contract to convert a bulk carrier to a pipe-laying vessel for the Swiss

Allseas Group. The bulk carrier is expected to be operational by the spring of 1995. When converted, the vessel will be able to lay pipe- lines of up to 60 inches in diameter in virtually unlimited water depth,

Sealift Ships for the Military Sealift

BWS Marine, Inc., a division of

Blume Worldwide Services, a con- tract to supply three shipsets of Delta

Marine incinerators for the Sealift program.

Carrier will supply 1,125 tons of air conditioning for cooling the cargo holds and 405 tons for the deck house, along with marinized 39 se- ries air handlers and ships stores refrigeration plants. These special- ized commercial marine packages will include the first marinized R- 134a centrifugal chillers installed aboard converted ships in U.S. ship- yards. The Delta Marine incinera- tors BWS Marine will supply are world leaders in enabling ships to meet Marpol requirements. BWS and Detegasa of Ferrol, Spain have reached an agreement to provide for U.S. manufacturing under li- cense in compliance with the contract's "Buy American" provision.
