Responsible for offshore operation and un- dertaking of any assigned projects; supervision and scheduling of all offshore personnel involved in project, both employees and contract staff; serve as liaison with client representative prior to start of project and during project; liaison between offshore op- erations and senior management onshore; responsible for prepa- ration of all project documentation including pre-job data, pro- cedures, daily reports, and final reports, maps, and plats. Includes liaison with Project Manager and CAD Department in regards to completion of documentation: responsible for operation of all software and navigation and surveying equipment installed on the assigned project: will process navigation data and be respon- sible for production of postplots; will organize and conduct pre and post project meeting with offshore personnel and provide relevant information to senior management (including software faults, equipment failures, etc.); responsible for implementation of safety standards onboard offshore vessel (s) /barge (s). Pro- longed periods working offshore on vessels, barges & drilling rigs, overseas travel for extended periods of time, land surveying experienced in both conventional & satellite technology meth- ods, experience in directing & supervision field survey crews & planning logistics for survey project, experience with all aspects of GPS satellite surveys & DGPS (marine & land), familiarity with all QC attributes of GPS, proficiency with ACAD 12 coor- dinating geometry in chart & map production, must be PC/DOS literate, must have acoustic positioning systems experience (both
LBL & USBL). 40 hrs/wk. onshore; hours offshore may require up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week work. Salary $50,000./ yr. Requires two years college education in surveying or survey engineering studies and five years experience in job offered or 5 years experience in related occupation as positioning surveyor or offshore surveyor or survey engineer or hydrographic surveyor.
