Alfa Laval Announces

Contract Awards

Swedish company Alfa Laval, a major supplier of systems and equipment to the marine, power and oilfield industries, has announced a number of new con- tracts. The company will supply oil treatment systems and cen- tral cooling components for

Carnival's two latest newbuild- ings under construction at

Kvaerner. Alfa Laval will also reportedly supply Disney's two cruise ships with oil treatment systems, freshwater generators and central cooling systems.

Similar supply contracts were signed for a drilling platform con- version and RoRo newbuild at

Kvaerner Rosenberg, Norway, and Kvaerner-Govan, Scotland, respectively.

The company also contracted to supply components for two chem- ical tankers under construction at Union Naval de Levante, a ferry at Astilleros Espanoles'

Puerto Real yard, and four con- tainer vessels under construction for Sea-Land Service Inc. at

Japan's IHI.
