FCS Inc. has announced that the

Interlake Steamship Company has equipped three vessels with the

Malin 3000 MK-5, a portable diesel engine analyzer which increases the speed, accuracy and reliability of determining the health of the main and generator diesel engines.

Information gathered on the

Malin 3000 can be downloaded onto a desktop PC. A software pro- gram produces the drawcard

Indicator and derivative and pro- vides timing, engine balance, and trends over time.

The Malin unit is supplied with the new Windows software which enhances the presentation of the data and provides color charts and graphics.

It can also store sets of trial ref- erence engine data which can be recalled and used to compare against current engine data.

Field Divers

American Oil Field Diver's has placed an order with Nautronix to supply American Defender with positioning and acoustic equip- ment.

The order consists of an

ASK4002 Dual Redundant

Dynamic Positioning System, a

RS914 Ultrashort Baseline

System, and a RS916 Ultrashort and Long Base Line System.

American Defender is approxi- mately 220-ft. (67.06 m) long and will be performing deepwater ROV and diving operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Digitec

Australia-based Digitec has developed the Dieseltune III sys- tem which is a diesel engine per- formance and condition monitoring system that uses a Windows work- ing environment.

In addition to standard fuel injection and power diagrams, the system has a "Lightspring" display which shows the prsesure in the combustion chamber during the combustion cycle.

This allows problems in the sys- tem to be quickly identified and remedied.
