TerraSond Ltd. has immediate openings for both experienced and entry level hydrographers and data analysts/processors.
These positions provide opportunities for surveyors, scientists and engineers who either have experience in or are interested in careers involving mapping the seafloor and its structure.
Seasonal, entry level positions which may be suitable for stu- dents of these disciplines may also be available.
Responsibilities include setup and operation of state-of-the-art navigation, positioning, sounding, data collection and process- ing equipment. Equipment includes side-scan sonar, single and multibeam sonar and sub-bottom profiling systems. Previous experience with equipment manufactured by Reson, Edgetech,
Odom, CodaOctopus, Kongsberg-Simrad, QPS, Hypack, Caris,
Trimble, AUTOCAD and/or MICROSTATION is a plus. Ideal can- didates would have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Geomatics, the physical sciences, Electronics or Information
Technology and/or applicable experience in a related field.
Duties include project setup, fieldwork, data processing, analy- sis of survey results, report preparation, client liaison and all other activities associated with TerraSond's survey, scientific and engineering support services.
