McLeansville, NC (27844BR)Specific Responsibilities:Work with a team to conduct sonar system analysis to assesssystem performance and validate requirements, develop analy- sis methodologies and software tools for acoustic perform- ance modeling, system planning, and sonar signal processing approaches, conduct trade studies and sonar system analyses to provide recommendations for system requirements, design, development and application, consult with development teamsthroughout the design cycle and provide technical guidance, support development programs, engineering studies, and new business proposals, prepare test plans for at-sea sonar sys- tem testing, process and analyze acoustic data from at-sea tests, prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations, participate and present technical results at reviews and work- ing group meetings. Requires occasional travel to support meetings and at-sea test events.Basic Qualifications: Master degree in Engineering or Physics or a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Physics with a minimum of 2 years related experience. Experience in one or more of the following areas: sonar system design and development, acoustic sys- tem performance modeling, oceanographic surveys, GIS tools, sonar signal processing, anti-submarine warfare operations, and software development (including Matlab). Due to the nature of work performed at our facilities, U.S. citi- zenship and the ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.
