Delta SubSea Tooling

Solutions Division

Delta SubSea (DSS) launched DSS Tooling Solutions , a new business line to complement its structure and to provide clients with a turnkey integrated service. DSS Tooling Solutions will provide competencies in ROV, remote intervention systems, subsea robotics and special tooling. DSS Tooling Solutions will work in close cooperation with clients to provide solutions to the most unconventional challenges. With services ranging from engineering and manufacturing to assembly, testing, training, operation and maintenance, DSS Tooling Solutions is an integrated provider for remotely operated solution for the offshore oil and gas industry. Direct control of highly sophisti- cated technologies, internal research and development, design and manufacturing capabilities, will allow DSS to provide the most reliable and innovative tools to carry out complex remote operations in any deepwater environment.

The scope of work includes all activities associated with the existing riser recovery, existing buoyancy removal, new buoy- ancy installation, new riser re-installation and all associated surveys. The work will involve a signifi cant, dedicated project team drawn mostly from DOF Subsea’s pool of highly skilled personnel.

DOF Subsea will also provide all proj- ect management and engineering sup- port from its Aberdeen base, as well as a team to support riser pull in operations on board the Global Producer 3 FPSO.

EdgeTech Seminar

EdgeTech, a company in high resolution sonar imaging systems and underwater technology, will be holding its annual sonar training seminar in New Bedford,

Massachusetts September 23-25, 2014.

The course will cover sonar theory, oper- ational training, system maintenance and post processing data for all of EdgeTech’s standard side scan sonar, sub-bottom pro- fi ling and combined systems. The three- day seminar includes 2.5 days of class- room instruction and half a day at sea.
