Wendy Laursen has 20+ years of experience as a journalist. In that time, she has written news and features for a range of maritime, engineering and science publications. She has completed a Master of Science research degree in marine ecology as well as diplomas in journalism, communication and subediting.

Marketing team for Nokia, having previously led North American sales enablement for IP-optical networks. Prior to joining Nokia, Serge worked at In? nera in product and solutions marketing, and business development. Serge is extensively published in the ? eld of optical networking and holds a BSc in physics from Concordia University,
Montréal, and an MASc in applied physics from the University of Toronto.
Pasho
David Pasho was the Project’s Chief Marine Geologist, helped maintain the deep ocean mining cover story and was the photographer on B Crew. After leaving Project Azorian he worked with the Canadian Law of the Sea delegation and negotiated several of the seabed mining provisions in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. He is currently writing a book on the deep seabed mining cover story for Project Azorian.

David R. Strachan is a defense analyst and founder of Strikepod Systems, a research and strategic advisory focusing on autonomous undersea systems.

Andrea Van Landingham is partner and Vice President of Business Development for industrial optics leader Theia Technologies. Andrea has over 30 years of technical product marketing and sales experience in the U.S. and abroad. She believes that marketing and sales is the art of providing the right product to the right customer and is committed to making sure that Theia’s optics technologies are speci? ed for projects only when they are the best ? t for the application. A love of foreign languages, culture and history led her to pursue a career in international commerce, leading organizations to increase their global footprint. She is proud to have guided Theia’s optics into the imaging systems of clients on 6 continents, through distributors in 50 countries. Andrea travels widely for business and pleasure, and in her free time enjoys the great outdoors of her home state of Oregon, dancing the Lindy Hop and learning to play the mandolin.
