ENGINEERING-HULL AND OUTFITTING SECTION
HEAD. High school graduate and a minimum of eight years experience in hull structure and outfitting design. Supervisory capability a must.
ESTIMATOR TRAINEE, MACHINERY. High school graduate and three years experience in shipyard ma- chinery department required. Some college pre- engineering or technical school preferred. Will con- sider merchant marine or other related shipboard experience.
ESTIMATOR TRAINEE, PIPING. High school gradu- ate and three years experience in shipyard pipe de- partment required. Some college pre-engineering or technical school preferred. Will consider hull piping draftsman.
SHIP SUPERINTENDENT. Experience in all phases of marine technology required. Reports to General
Superintendent and is responsible for directing and co- ordinating all work by various crafts on assigned ship.
SALES REPRESENTATIVE. Growth opportunity for individual who enjoys sales and meeting people. Ex- perience in marine industry and knowledge of ship building and repair necessary.
ASSISTANT GENERAL FOREMAN — Painting, Scaling & Sandblasting Department. Must be familiar with all types of marine paints and have knowledge of sandblasting and painting procedures for vessels.
Supervisory experience necessary. Reports to General
Foreman.
GENERAL FOREMAN — Outside Machinery Depart- ment. Must have thorough knowledge of machinery aboard marine vessels. Licensed marine engineer pre- ferred, but not required. Responsible for analyzing, planning, organizing and supervising all activities of the department. Coordinates with other crafts in the yard. Reports directly to General Superintendent.
ASSISTANT GENERAL FOREMAN — Outside Machin- ery Department. Must have thorough knowledge of machinery aboard marine vessels. Licensed marine engineer preferred, but not required. Responsible for planning, organizing and supervising all activities of the department. Reports to General Foreman.

MARINE REPAIR
ENGINEER
Reports to Manager, Maintenance and Repair. Will
manage and direct the overhaul activity for tugs
and barges. Will also have a major role in overhaul
work of large ships, preparing detailed specifica-
tions, evaluating bids and awards, administering
and negotiating contracts for all vessel repairs,
preparing detailed budgets for overhaul repairs, at-
tend and direct surveys of damaged hulls and
machinery and negotiate the settlement of repair
costs.
Must possess extensive engineering background
with the ability to manage specialists in Marine
Engineering and Shipyard Engineering, covering a
multitude of engineering disciplines from
mechanical to electronic. Technical expertise in
vessel maintenance and repair, as well as ad-
ministrative skills required. Up to 60% travel.
NAVAL ARCHITECT/
DESIGN ENGINEER
Position responsibility will encompass reviewing and
approving allaspects of the specifications and plans
for new construction projects, used vessel pur-
chases and charters. Your major impact will be in
the area of vessel and/or electrical, mechanical and
instrumentation design plus providing direction in
the development of equipment standards for elec-
tronic/navigation equipment and planned
maintenance systems for all vessels. You'll direct
the activities or the company's marine design con-
sultants and coordinate/budget agent contracts
and in-house design changes to specifications.
Position requires B professional/technical
background in Marine Engineering or Naval Arch-
itecture, plus excellent administrative and negotia-
tion ability. Some travel is required.
