OPERATIONS MANAGER

SOUTH AMERICA

Supervise and coordinate vessels loading and discharging in Brazilian ports. Instruct port agents and stevedores in Brazilian ports; negotiate stevedoring contracts with Brazilian stevedoring companies; instruct vessels' Master/Officer and crew as to the execution of the voyages; supervise/instruct PortCaptains attending vessels' operations in Barzilian, West African and Rea

Sea Ports. Duties also include pre-planning the voyages; calculation of best routing, planning and arranging fueling; planning cargo stowage with vessels' command and Port Captains; ensuring timely charter hire payments and freight collection; arranging for funding to port agents. Responsible for all official documentation in

Brazil, including the proper issuance of Bills of Lading,

Letters of Credit and Cargo Manifests. Check all port disbursements and verily all expenses submitted by

Brazilian port agents. 40 hours per week. 4 years experience in job offered or 4 years related experience as Operations Manager forinternationalshipchartering company involved with Brazilian shipping business.
