REGIONAL SALES MANAGER to manage sales of marine electronic product lines such as Autohelm, Apelco (both manu- factured in the U.K. and distributed in the U.S.) as well as employer's own marine electronics product line; plan and man- age entire sales effort for the New England Region. Particular emphasis is placed on the sale of Autohelm microprocessor based marine electronics which use SeaTalk language. Prod- ucts include autopilots (equipped with electronic Flux Gate Com- pass) and other products from radar to log instruments, electro- mechanical drive arms for tiller/helm and Global Positioning Sys- tems (GPS). Responsibilities include acting as technical advi- sor to Sales Rep's/Sales Engineers and/or Servicers who re- quire candidate's expertise in resolving technical problems re- lating to product installation, troubleshooting, design modifica- tions, as well as resolving technical problems pertaining to the software/hardware on new or existing microprocessor based marine electronic products which use SeaTalk language. Must be a high school graduate and have 11/2 years of direct experi- ence in the job being offered and as described or 3 years re- lated experience as a Service Technician. If qualifying under related experience, related experience must be in troubleshoot- ing, servicing and installing the electronic marine products de- scribed above, most of which are manufactured in the U.K. (some as early as 1975).
