Winch

The Model FCSL 150W/1D anchor- handling/towing winch, built by Fritz

Culver, Inc., is a single drum, hydrauli- cally driven winch. The winch uses two large Hydrex motors driving the drum directly through pinion gears to a large bull gear on each flange. The drum is driven directly by the motors and does not contain a clutch.

Failsafe brakes are mounted on each hydraulic motor. The pumps and motors are rated at 5,000 psi, while the operat- ing pressure is 3,500 psi. The HPU requires 3,000 hp.

Three MacGREGOR-Hagglunds elec- tro-hydraulic type K2524 cranes are included in the shipset, each having a capacity of 25 tons and fitted with a 12.5 cu. m. grab.
