SAFE, a water mist fire extinguishing system, was upgraded in order to fit a single nozzle in cabins of up to 18 sq. m., compared with the previous installation capabil- ity of 12 sq. m. SEM-SAFE also uses water at a much lower rate, for example 16.8 liters/min. per nozzle for an 18 sq. m. cabin nozzle, com- pared to 240-320 liters/min. for each conven- tional nozzle.
