EOE • Reviews customer information and develops labor, material, and subcon tractor price estimates for required work. Applies knowledge of cost and pricing to produce final bid for management review. Prepares estimates for change orders. Develops craft labor budgets used for planning and scheduling of the work. Analyzes subcontractor quotes to determine "make" or "buy" decisions. Works with production management to formulate build strategy for intended repairs or construction. Develops work packages for distribution to production. Identifies and schedules key and critical path work items. Identifies and resolves ambiguities or inconsistencies in specifications or bid packages that could affect cost, prior to contract finalization. Plans, estimates, negotiates, directs work of production activities, and reconciles final billings on assigned projects. Enforces safety and quality on all projects.

A degree in marine engineering or equivalent course work in math, physics or engineering desired. Must have 8 - 10 years in the maritime business.
