August 2012www.marinelink.com 81Krill Systems Inc., a provider of Vessel Fuel Measurement and Monitoring Sys-tems (VFMMS), announced the success-ful installation and sea trial of KrillVFMMS systems on-board three supportvessels operating as part of the Shell Alaska Arctic offshore drilling project. Installation of the Krill VFMMS sys- tems took place in July. The Krill VFMMS systems will measure theamount of fuel being consumed by thesevessels, in real time, and report the data back to company headquarters where it will be used to accurately record fuel useand, also, provide the opportunity to re- duce fuel consumption, and manageemissions. Krill Systems uses MicrosoftSQL server database technology to record all sensor data with 2-second res-olution and storage capacity of at leastone year with unlimited roll-over capac- ity (ROC).
