Supervision exercised: Supervises subordi- nate professional, classified, and student personnel in area of expertise
General responsibilities: •Oversee the operation, maintenance and preventative maintenance of all simulators •Responsible for planning of simulator ac- quisitions, replacement, and upgrades working with appropriate departments •Responsible for writing RFP’s for new sim- ulators, upgrades, and installation to exist- ing simulators •Troubleshoot and repair simulators – soft- ware, hardware, systems, and programs •Coordinate all software and maintenance contracts •Coordinate simulator availability for open houses and visitors •Conduct training for simulator operators and staff •Develop and maintain procedures, budget, and schedule for simulator operations •Ensure simulators are functioning properly for all labs/classes •Perform other related duties and respon- sibilities as assigned •Supervise departmental staff
Qualifications and requirements: •Bachelor degree in related field or at least ten (10) years experience in simulation technology •Extensive experience with Microsoft servers, network technology and hardware •Ability to work effectively with faculty, pro- fessional, and student personnel •Excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills •Ability to function effectively in a multi-task college environment •Professional competence as evidenced by personal growth and development •Experience supervising personnel
Preferred qualifications: •Certification in related field •Knowledge and understanding of Acad- emy’s mission •Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer •Masters degree in Computer Science
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000. The Acad- emy offers generous benefits policies and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
