Kirby began his career with SeaArk Marine, Inc. in 1991 and was pro- moted to Vice President of Engineering for the company in 2006. He led SeaArk Marine?s Engineering team through some of the most successful periods of thecompany?s history. Along with the improvement of infra- structure, SCI?Houston?s new expert hire reflects the Institute?s commit- ment to enlarge training to meet theneeds of maritime industry profes- sionals. Shank attended Texas A&M University at Galveston, graduating with a degree in Marine Transportation and a Third Mate Unlimited Tonnage license. Berggren holds degrees in mechanical engineering and market- ing and has 14 years of experience in the maritime industry. Most recently, he was Marketing Manager of Commercial Marine at Colfax Corporation.
