58MN October 2011MaritimeJobsPost Your Resume for Free  Energize Your Job Search @ MaritimeJobs.comEngineering & QA Manager Job Location: USA, Irvine, CAPosition: Engineering & QA Manager Department: EngineeringReport to: President September, 2011 POSITION SUMMARY: Support the overall business by develop- ing and maintaining the approved product lines through accurate bills of material and drawings that meet customer needs, are inexpensive to build and deliver the speci-fied performance under intended operat- ing conditions throughout the product life cycle. Perform the Quality Assurance Man- ager duties through disposition and sign off on nonconformances and implementa- tion of preventive and corrective action. RESPONSIBILITY:1.Direct the timely creation and mainte- nance of accurate bills of material, draw-ings and factory authorized tests (FAT) to support the manufacturing and procure- ment activities so that product is built de- fect free and meets the internal and external requirements. 2.Work with sales, marketing and the cus- tomers to define the customer require- ments and develop products that meet these requirements. Assist in the valida- tion of the product features and capabili- ties to realize product specifications. 3.Maintain the safe and secure storage of all drawings, engineering files and records. Insure these files are kept up-to-date. 4.Produce proposal drawings when re- quired. Establish the type of items and/or components required for approved design changes, new products and/or custom jobs. 5.Stay abreast of market conditions and establish the need, impact and require- ments of any design change to CWS stan-dard equipment. Incorporate and record all design changes on affected drawings upon CWS design change approval. Es- tablish the impact and requirements of a new product. 6.Conduct, as required, review meetings with CWS management or departments to discuss the status and requirements of any engineering work in progress. Provide en- gineering assistance to all departments re- garding interpretation of any drawings and/or any operation of all CWS manufac-turing equipment.7.Implement a quality assurance and con-trol process that is in accordance with the tenets of ISO-9001.
