Gulf Trading Promotes Hindson And Monaghan

W.J. Hindson has been appointed general manager, tactics and economic analysis in the Supply and Transportation Department of Gulf Trading and Transportation Company.

A.J. Monaghan, formerly manager, fleet operations, has been named to succeed Mr. Hindson as general manager, crude and fleet coordination.

Mr. Hindson joined Gulf Oil Canada as an engineering trainee in 1955, following his graduation from the University of Saskatchewan.

He moved to London in 1968 as a representative in crude oil sales and returned to Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1973 as manager, performance analysis, supply and transportation optimization for Gulf Trading and Transportation Company.

Mr. Monaghan, a graduate of Belfast Nautical College, served as a captain with various shipping shipping companies before joining Gulf as captain of a Gulf Britishflag tanker in 1961.

He worked in various marine operational and advisory positions in Antwerp, London, and Bantry Bay, Ireland before moving to Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1973 as director of marine analysis, Project Development, for Gulf Trading and Transportation Company.
