New Exxon Plant Provides Customer-Specific Product Blends For Marine Industry

Exxon Company, U.S.A. has completed installation of a sophisticated computer control system at the company's new Port Allen Lubricants (PAL) Plant in Port Allen, La.

The new plant is scheduled to go into full operation next month.

When completed it will further enhance Exxon's ability to provide unique products for application in the marine industry.

Computerized operations at the new Exxon facility will provide products that are accurately blended to exact customer specification; and shipped on time.

Employing the latest in sophisticated technology, the new computerized PAL Plant system will integrate all plant operations through a single data base. This integration will allow technicians to schedule, monitor and control blending, storage, inventory and delivery activities with a higher degree of accuracy and flexibility than previously attainable.
