Bow Steering

  • The Waterways Company recently announced that agreements have been signed with Delta Shipyard, division of Chromalloy American Corporation.

Walter Todd, president of The Waterways Company, stated that an exclusive licensing agreement covering manufacture of the STEERMASTER Bow Steering System and the full line of drainage and irrigation pumping stations had been agreed upon by both companies.

Chromalloy will be responsible for all manufacturing, engineering and product application. The Waterways Company, 109 East Scenic Drive, Pass Christian, Miss. 39571, will be responsible for all marketing efforts.

"The results of this," said Mr.

Todd, "is that we can now expand the benefits of a proven product to many areas." On the international scale, countries are rapidly developing their water resources, including both river transportation and irrigation.

The STEERMASTER Bow Steering System represents a proven tool for barge handling, and the pumping stations provide an efficient movement of large volumes of water.

The manufacturing capability of Chromalloy will allow us to better meet the needs of our present customers and future customers in both the U.S. and international markets.
