Field Appointed Vice President-Manufacturing For Fairbanks Morse

M.D. Maddox, president of Colt Industries' Fairbanks Morse Engine Division in Beloit, Wise., has announced the appointment of Marshall L. Field Jr. as vice president, manufacturing. He will be responsible for all facets of the manufacturing functions including materials, manufacturing engineering, and all production departments.

Mr. Field comes to Fairbanks Morse from FMC Corporation, where he was employed for the past nine years. During that time, he held positions of business planner, materials manager, and manufacturing manager. His most recent assignment at FMC was as a member of a new venture group in Houston.

Prior to joining FMC he spent four years with Westinghouse Electric Company's Systems Development Division.

He has a BS degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, an MS in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
