Moran And Watt Elected Vice Presidents At Moran Towing & Transportation

Thomas E. Moran, chairman and president of Moran Towing & Transportation Company, has announced that the board of directors has elected two new vice presidents, Edmond J.

Moran Jr. and W. Anthony Watt.

Edmond Moran came to the company from States Marine Lines in 1971 to work in the sales department at the New York office. A graduate of Georgetown University, he was appointed vice president of Florida Towing Company in Jacksonville when that firm was acquired by Moran in 1976. He returned to New York in 1983 to become manager of Moran's Barge Division, including the subsidiary Seaboard Shipping Company.

Mr. Watt came to the New York Office in 1978 as assistant manager of Seaboard Shipping, after having been an executive with Florida Towing. Having a background in shipyard management, he became assistant manager of the Construction and Repair Department in 1980, and manager of that department in 1984.
