New Brochure From Hitco Outlines Asbestos-Free Insulation Textiles
A free color brochure highlighting a line of asbestos-free insulation textiles is now available from Hitco® Materials Division.
The brochure explains in detail the many insulation textiles the company offers, and their applications.
The products detailed include Refrasil®, an asbestos-replacement, silica based textile; AR Refrasil®, an abrasion resistant asbestos-replacement textile; Irish Refrasil®, a high-temperature asbestos-replacement textile; Fabrisil®, an economical fiberglas insulation; and Nor- Fab®, an aramid and glass fiber insulation.
Developed by Hitco, Refrasil provides continuous insulation and retains strength and flexibility in environments to 1800 degrees F (982 degrees C). Thermal protection properties are maintained during temperature excursions as high as 3100 degrees F (1704 degrees C).
The insulating textile can be used in vacuum furnace separator cloths, flexible expansion joints and weld protection blankets and screens.
