NAVY MARKETING MEETING

NavSea / MMA-Sponsored HM&E Conference Set For Arlington, November 27-28 Vice Adm. Peter Hekman, Commander of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NavSea), and James P. Fromfield, president of the Marine Machinery Association (MMA), recently announced their joint sponsorship of the first conference between the Navy and the manufacturers of its hull, mechanical and electrical equipment (HM&E).

The NavSea/MMA HM&E Conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Arlington, Va., on November 27 and 28, 1990. Topics to be covered include: U.S. Navy Marketing Outlook; Foreign Navy Marketing Outlook; HM&E Technical Developments; Quality Assurance Initiatives; HM&E Research And Development; Mil-Spec And Navy Standard Drawing Updates; Rights In Data; Navy Acquisition Strategy; and Congressional Developments.

This HM&E Conference will build on last year's successful DARPA/ MMA R&D Conference. It will be two days of intensive presentations and discussions to aid HM&E manufacturers to find the right path in today's changing market, and to ensure the continued health of the Navy's industrial base.
