The maritime college of Nantes, France, recently installed a training simulator that will be used for the training of future engineers for the merchant marine. More than 150 guests, mainly from the French shipping and marine training environment indicated a solid interest in the Norwegian-built simulator.

Developed and manufactured by Norcontrol Simulation a.s of Horten, Norway, the simulator can be programmed to simulate anything happening to the machinery at sea, and it comes with light and sound effects for maximum realism Consisting of three parts, the simulator is adapted to the French requirements for officers controlling both the bridge and engine room from one place.

With experience from 40 similar installations, Norcontrol Simulation is a market leader internationally.
