Crowley Appoints Three In Caribbean Division

Increased responsibilities have been given to three executives in the Caribbean Division of Crowley Maritime Corporation as a result of R.D. Carter's resignation from the company on November 11, according to a recent announcement by Leo L. Collar, president of CMC's Offshore Group, San Francisco, Calif.

Robert Homan has been appointed general manager of Trailer Marine Transport Corporation, George Hutton has been appointed general manager of Gulf Caribbean Marine Lines, Inc., and Elmer Keller has been appointed general manager of Crowley operations within the Caribbean.

Messrs. Homan, Hutton and Keller were previously managers for these respective operations, but will now take on expanded responsibilities of directing the overall operation of each, as well as day-to-day operations.

Mr. Carter had served as president of Crowley's Caribbean Division, overseeing the operations of Trailer Marine Transport Corporation, Gulf Caribbean Marine Lines, Inc., Interisland Intermodal Line, CTMT, Inc., and other common carrier operations in the Gulf and Caribbean areas.

Crowley Maritime Corporation has been operating in the Gulf and Caribbean since 1971 when it introduced its mammoth oceangoing barges into service from Florida to Puerto Rico and from the West Gulf Coast to Puerto Rico.
