Nordic Machine Expands Line Of Anchor Winches
Nordic Machine & Manufacturing, Seattle, Wash., has expanded its line of stock anchor winches with the new 40-30-3000. This 40-inchdiameter by 30-inch-wide galvanized drum winch has a full drum line pull of 15,000 pounds enabling a maximum anchor capacity of 3,000 pounds. The winch can hold 970 feet of 1-1/4 cable plus 65 feet of 1-1/4 chain.
Like all of Nordic Machine's reduction anchor winches, all drive components run in an enclosed oil bath. This includes reduction components, clutch, and band brake.
The 40-30-3000 also features a 10- inch-diameter cast iron capstan with up to 13,000-pound line pull. A positive stop dog is included to protect the drive from mooring shocks.
