Jones, Bardelmeier Open Singapore Office

Jones, Bardelmeier & Co., Ltd., the ocean bulk shipping consulting firm headquartered in Nassau, Bahamas, is opening a branch office in Singapore this month.

Derek King, one of the senior officers in the firm, will go out from Nassau to become the resident partner. Roger M. Jones, president of Jones, Bardelmeier, stated: "We are establishing this, our first branch office, in Singapore as we see coming a great expansion in both dry and liquid bulk shipping activities in the Far East. The Singapore office will cover consulting and other assignments in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, South Korea, and other areas of the Far East." Since it was founded in 1962, the firm of Jones, Bardelmeier & Co., Ltd. has worked for over 125 entities all over the world, with an interest of one nature or another in large volume bulk movements by sea — charterers, shipowners, financial institutions, government entities.
