Strachan Announces Four Key Promotions

Major promotions of four executives in the Houston, Texas, office of Strachan Shipping Company, were announced by Thomas Adams, president.

Mickey Lane, who most recently served Strachan as the U.S.

general manager of its Atlantic Cargo Service Division, has been promoted to vice president of Strachan, West Gulf. Mr. Lane has been with the firm 17 years.

He will be succeeded in his capacity with Atlantic Cargo Service by Nick Koutroulis, formerly U.S.

assistant general manager of that division of Strachan. Mr. Koutroulis, having served Strachan for 23 years, has been transferred from New Orleans, La., to Houston.

Ben Hanson, a 31-year veteran of Strachan, has been elevated from assistant local manager to local manager of the Houston office. Bill Homburg has been named assistant local manager.

He has been with Strachan for the past 11 years.

Lewis Homburg, a vice president and director of the shipping firm, will continue in that position.

Strachan Shipping Company, Inc., ship agents and stevedores, represents a number of ship lines servicing the United Kingdom, North Europe and Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North and South America, and the Caribbean. The firm maintains offices in major American ports, and many cities throughout the interior.
