Delta Steamship Lines Names Dale Miller

Dale R. Miller has been appointed a sales representative for the Houston, Texas, office of Delta Steamship Lines, Inc., according to an announcement by Fred A. Wendt, senior vice president- traffic and sales, of the New Orleans, La.-based company.

Mr. Miller has extensive experience in the industry, having worked for major steamship agencies in the Houston area prior to joining Delta.

A native of Corsicana, Texas, Mr. Miller holds a B.B.A. degree in industrial management from the University of Texas, and an A.A.S. degree in commercial transportation and distribution from Houston Community College.

He is now an instructor at the latter institution.

Mr. Miller is a member of the Transportation Club of Houston and of Delta Nu Alpha, the national transportation fraternity.

Delta Steamship Lines, Inc., is the owner and operator of a fleet of ultramodern cargo vessels, including three LASH/containerships.

This fleet operates between ports in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and the east coast of South and Central America, the Caribbean and the west coast of Africa.
