Paducah Marine Ways Names Louis J. Roof

Louis J. Roof has been appointed manager, river repairs at Paducah Marine Ways Inc. at Paducah, Ky. Paducah Marine Ways Inc. is one of the three shipyards operated by the St.

Louis Ship Division of Pott Industries Inc.

Mr. Roof, a 20-year veteran at Paducah Marine Ways, has advanced through the positions of lead man, foreman, assistant works manager, and manager of sales repair, prior to his most recent promotion. Mr. Roof is a native of Paducah, and resides there with his wife Judy and their four daughters. He is a member of the Traffic Club, a past officer of the Knights of Columbus and of The Propeller Club, Port of Paducah.

Paducah Marine Ways offers "Full Service" to all repair customers.

Facilities include eight drydocks, machine shop, propeller repair, and the recent addition of a barge cleaning and gas-freeing facility. These services are available 24 hours a day. The repair staff directed by Mr. Roof is dedicated to handle all repair work with minimum downtime.
