Stig Host Appointed Chief Executive Officer Of Skaarup Shipping

At the annual meeting of Skaarup Shipping Corporation, held at the company's headquarters at 475 Steamboat Road, Greenwich, Conn., Ole Skaarup, founder and chairman of the board, announced the appointment of Stig Host, vice chairman, as chief executive officer of the corporation.

Skaarup Shipping Corporation, founded by Mr. Skaarup in 1951, is a diversified international shipping corporation engaged in shipowning, ship management, chartering and brokerage and t r a n s p o r t a t i on consulting.

Skaarup Shipping Corporation also acts as managing agents of The Hanna Mining Company's Ocean Marine Division.

Two other appointments were announced by Skaarup Shipping Corporation subsidiaries: Donald B. Frost was elected vice president of Skaarup Chartering Corporation. Skaarup Chartering Corporation engages in competitive ship brokering in both dry cargo and tankers.

James O. Williams was elected president of Total Transportation Inc. Total Transportation Inc. engages in consulting and international transportation and resource planning.
