R.H. Roemer Forms Mobile Marine Assoc.

Mobile Marine Associates, Inc., a new company with offices at 951 Government Street, Mobile, Ala. 36604, was formed by R.H.

Roemer to engage in the general business of providing consultative services regarding engineering, economics and transportation systems ; perform vessel surveys, and act as manufacturers' liaison representative with respect to certain propulsion-related equipment.

Mr. Roemer, who has been active in the marine profession for 30 years, is a graduate marine engineer-naval architect, maintains a current license as chief engineer-unlimited and holds the rank of commander, USNR. His experience encompasses all facets in the marine field gained from practical application through such executive positions as general manager-Marine Department, Central Gulf Lines; assistant division manager-repairs, Avondale Shipyards, Inc.; vice president, Propulsion Systems, Inc., and most recently as director-commercial programs, Ingalls Shipbuilding.

Further, by affiliation, Mobile Marine Associates, Inc. offers the following additional specialized services: complete design functions covering naval architecture, marine and structural engineering, supported by in-house computer facilities; provide assistance to owners-operators in the area of ship maintenance monitoring and spare parts inventorycontrol programs, and expertise with reference to analyzing and solving shipboard vibration problems.
