Maritime Association Publishes 1976 Edition N.Y. Port Handbook

The 1976 edition of The New York Port Handbook, the authoritative source book of information on transportation and air and maritime related services and supply organizations, world trade and government agencies in the port region, has been published by The Maritime Association of the Port of New York.

The 168-page annual, which in this Bicentennial year is dedicated to the events that shaped the historic role of the port in the development of America, contains 32 pages in color. This year's edition also includes an expanded section on air transportation, with maps of Kennedy, Newark and La Guardia airports, and a map and chart showing locations and detailing facilities of major petroleum terminals in the port area.

The book contains complete information on port administration navigation safety, New York City ports and terminals, privately owned and developed marine terminals, worldwide marine intelligence services, private bureaus and associations, government services, shipper's and shipping services, air transportation, railroads, highway transport, labor and management, The World Trade Center, South Street Seaport, industrial development and visitor's guide to New York City.

There are 17 detailed maps showing boundaries of the official port district, general cargo and petroleum terminals, Federal waterfront facilities and channels and towing service zones. Included are charts showing steps in the import-export procedure, towing and barging directory and international telephone rates.

A directory section of 68 pages lists every air carrier and steamship company serving the port, plus transportation or industry related service and supply organization in the region.

Copies of the New York Port Handbook are available from the Maritime Association of the Port of New York, 80 Broad Street, New York, N.Y. 10004, at $5 each (N.Y. residents add sales tax) plus 60(2! to cover postage and handling charges. Discounts are available on quantity purchases.
