Sperry Vickers Names Whited International Planning Manager

Sperry Vickers has announced the appointment of Arthur R.

Whited to planning manager for its International Group. Mr.

Whited will remain at the company's Troy, Mich., World Headquarters.

In his new position, Mr. Whited will be responsible for managing long-range business plans, product and facility plans throughout the world.

Mr. Whited joined Sperry Vickers in 1967 as a design and development engineer, and his most recent position was as an International Group project engineer.

A graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology, he holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

Sperry Vickers, a division of the New York-based Sperry Rand Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of fluid power components for in-plant machinery, mobile equipment, aircrafts and ships.
