Gordon R. White Forms Bulk Handling Associates

Gordon R. White has announced the forming of a new company, Bulk Handling Associates, in which he will function as president.

The new company's activity will focus on the bulk materials handling needs of the marine industry and the pulp and paper industry.

Mr. White previously served as general manager, Marine Systems Division of ORBA Corporation and prior to that, as manager, Engineered Systems for Robins Engineers and Constructors, Division of Litton Systems, Inc. In over 20 years as a bulk materials handling specialist, Mr.

White has been involved in the design of systems in various parts of the world, including the United States, England, Canada, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela. His patented materials handling innovations have received wide recognition.

Mr. White's innovations include the first major fully automated system for outside chip storage, located at Weyerhaeuser Company's mill in Valliant, Okla.

More recently, he was responsible for the conceptual design and played a key role in the sale of a similar system for Parsons & Wittemore's new mill to be located near Monroeville, Ala. He was also responsible for the development and design of the traveling screw self-unloading system for marine vessels, of which there are two presently in operation.

Mr. White is a member of the Technical Association of the Pulp & Paper Industry, and The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. The address of the new company is P.O. Box 281, Ridgewood, N.J. 07451.
