New Handbook Will Serve As Damage Survey Guide

Richard A. Cady, retired principal surveyor, Atlantic District, United States Salvage Association, Inc., has prepared a new handbook "Marine Damage Survey Guide," which is offered to complement his prior work "Marine Survey Practice," published in 1968.

This new handbook introduces numerous diversified examples, comments, and hypothesis applicable to marine damage surveys for insurance purposes, and is intended as a reference and guide for the marine surveyor, as well as representatives of owners, ship repairers, insurance brokers, underwriters, and others concerned with marine insurance claims.

This entirely new work is presented in four parts: Damage Survey Influences, The Nature and Cause of Perils, Field Survey Examples, and Unusual Circumstances.

The publisher and sole distributor, Marine Survey Press, 8000 Cottage Hill Road, Mobile, Ala. 36609, offers this new handbook at a cost of $26 per copy, postpaid in the United States. Copies of the previous handbook, "Marine Survey Practice," also are available at the same cost.
