Hansen And Tidemann Name John Funke VP —Seaspeed Services

John H. Funke, a recognized transportation expert, has been named vice president of Hansen and Tidemann, Inc. and general manager for Seaspeed Services.

Hansen and Tidemann, Inc. are U.S. agents for Seaspeed's rollon/ roll-off shipping service to the Middle East, scheduled to begin this month, with the world's largest capacity ro/ro vessels from Portsmouth, Va. His appointment was announced by Richard Paddon, managing director at H&T's New York office.

Mr. Funke most recently served as executive vice president of Evergreen Handt Corp. He has been in the shipping industry for 20 years and is a well-known contributor to the growth and technology of modern shipping systems.

A recognized expert on intermodalism, Mr. Funke conducts classes at the Seamen's Church Institute School of Maritime Studies. He is a graduate of the Traffic Management Institute, and served in World War II as an Army captain.

He will be headquartered in H&T's New York office at One World Trade Center.
