Todd Forms Subsidiary For Naval Construction In West Coast Yards

To integrate all aspects of new Naval construction in its Seattle, Wash., and Los Angeles, Calif., Divisions under previously announced contracts of over onehalf billion dollars, Todd Shipyards Corporation will establish a wholly owned subsidiary to be known as Todd Pacific Shipyards Corporation.

This action will provide an integrated organization and establish maximum uniformity of operations and coordination between these two divisions. It will also expedite the preparation of performance measurement reports to Todd corporate management, and will assure uniformity in the application of stringent Navyrequired construction techniques and quality assurance procedures.

Concentration of these facilities and personnel in one subsidiary company enhances Todd's opportunities for continued participation in the United States Navy long-term ship construction program, while at the same time retaining full capability to perform repair, alteration and conversion work on existing naval and commercial vessels.
