Verolme Botlek Carries Out Vessel Upgrades

Verolme Botlek, a drydocking, repair and conversion yard located in Rotterdam, has been actively repairing various vessels including FPSO Uisge Gorm, which underwent tank damage repairs this past summer. The yard concluded yet another steel repair project - renewing of the 7,132-dwt Turkish vessel, ECE-K's bow - which utilized approximately 100 tons of steel.

Throughout the last quarter, Verolme Botlek has accommodated a total of five tankers for repair work. The ships included the 130,031-dwt Loch Rannoch (pictured in photo) for BP Amoco Shipping; the 80,745-dwt Petrotrym for Golar Nor Offshore; and Aberdeen with 87,055-dwt for Northern Marine Management.

Recent projects include the simultaneously drydocking of two drilling rigs — semisubmersible rig Noble Ton van Langevelt — as well as the Ensco jackup rig Ensco 71.
