IMODCO Establishes Far East Marketing Office

IMODCO has opened a Far East marketing office situated in Shaw Towers, Suite 2109 on Singapore's Beach Road. Leonard K.

Watts, transferred from Los Angeles, Calif, headquarters, has been named regional manager.

In making the announcement, Alfred W.

Allchorn, senior vice president-marketing, said the new facility will insure quicker time response to inquiries and for more comprehensive coverage, cooperation and contact with present and potential customers of offshore marine terminal systems.

Heretofore, the marketing area which encompasses Southeast Area, Indonesia, the Southwest Pacific, the Western Pacific islands, Australasia and the subcontinent of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, has been serviced out of the firm's Los Angeles headquarters.

Mr. Allchorn noted the Singapore office represents another step in company expansion.

A Houston, Texas, office was established last year, and early this year physical space for both the headquarters and London, England, staffs were doubled.

Mr. Watts has a wide range of offshore construction experience and has supervised the installation of numerous mooring systems.

He joined IMODCO in 1977 after four years with Hydrospace International. He majored in marketing at Sierra College and California State University San Francisco, and also was graduated from Commercial Diving Center, Wilmington, Calif.

IMODCO, a unit of AMCA International Corporation, has been a pioneer in the Single Point Mooring (SPM) terminal field since 1958, having constructed and installed 72 offshore terminals around the world.
