Houston Systems Reports Executive Realignment

The Board of Directors for Houston Systems Manufacturing Company, Houston, Texas, in an executive realignment, has announced the election of the following officers: Robert B. Taylor, executive vice president; John C.H. Chan, P.E. (Ca.), CMfgE., senior vice president; Gary Bladt, vice president-chief financial officer and treasurer; C.L. Boylston, vice president-engineering and Joe Kinder, vice presidentmanufacturing.

The executive realignment is the result of the restructuring of HSMC's product line.

HSMC is a diversified manufacturer of energy-related products, spanning the full cycle of the petroleum industry, from drilling to refining. HSMC/Rig- Up Services provides the fabrication and rig-up for drilling rigs.

H S M C / T h e r m o t i c s produces steam generators for enhanced oil recovery, and HSMC/Metrol Production Systems supplies oil and gas production equipment.

HSMC / Marine Systems fabricates motion compensators/tensioners and cranes for offshore drilling operations, and HSMC/ En-Flo Valves produces high temperature valves for petroleum refining applications.

Mr. Taylor is a seven year veteran at HSMC. His previous position was vice president-drilling and marine products. His current responsibilities include the direction of engineering and sales for all HSMC Product groups.

Mr. Chan is a registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Manufacturing Engineer in the field of Product Engineering.

His previous title was vice president division manager-valve and energy products. Mr. Chan holds several U.S. and worldwide patents and has almost twenty years of experience in industry-related work. His current responsibilities include product engineering, marketing and sales.

Mr. Bladt has over 23 years of experience. Prior to his election as vice president, Mr. Bladt served as controller for HSMC.

In addition to his responsibilities as chief financial officer, he will control and coordinate the purchasing of materials.

Mr. Boylston has over 18 years of industry-related experience.

He is currently serving on the API Task Force for the standardization of Steam Generators.

His previous position was vice president-engineering for Thermotics steam generators. His cur- rent responsibilities involve the supervision of engineering for all HSMC energy products.

Mr. Kinder is a 15-year veteran at HSMC. He is a member of AWS and SME. His previous title was manager of manufacturing.

In his current position, Mr. Kinder will be responsible for production and inventory control for all HSMC Products.
